Why anyone wants to run Android apps in PC?
Ans. Many of peoples don't have a smartphone or have any other smartphone (ex. Symbian) and as you may know that Android has lakhs of apps in store and many developers are developing apps for Android. So, to test any app we need this.
We can use BlueStacks software, which is currently available for Windows and Mac PC to run many Android apps in our PC. Some of apps may not work due to some problems. So here's steps how can we Install BlueStacks and Run Android apps:
- First you need to download and install BlueStacks, click here to download.
- After installation complete you will get some pre-installed apps.
- You can download apps from BlueStacks apps Store, because currently Google Play is not supported in BlueStacks.
- First Double click on .apk(Android app).
- You will get a dialog box like "Windows can't open this file".
- Then tick the "Select a program from a list of installed programs".
- And click OK.
- After that you will see a list of some programs, Now, browse to C:/Program Files/BlueStacksHD/Android Apk Handler Application Program. Click on OK.
- After that check the "Always use the selected program to open this file kind of file". So you don't have to do the same kind of work and can easily install other apps from next time.
- Then you will get an a dialog box that Installing APK Please wait.
- After this app successfully installed you will get a message that "*** has installed".
Note: Some of apps will not work due to some problems.
